Rally for Fairmount Park - tomorrow, April 15th, at 12 noon in front of City Hall.

Mayor Nutter has proposed $3 million in increased funding for the Park this year. Come out and let Council know you support the Park and the Mayor.

[...] Better yet, check out Alex Hillman for a preview of tomorrow’s executive. This guy works, blogs, promotes coworking, networks like a tornado, and still has time to organize a blood drive (really, whole IndyHall team is just impressive in this regard–they also cleaned Philly).
Official Recap:
According to the Weather.com, it was supposed to rain Saturday for Philly Spring Clean Up. It wasn't supposed to break 50 degrees. People were supposed to look out their windows that morning at the cold dampness and suddenly realize that there were 1000 things they would rather do inside that morning. I was supposed to be standing alone in a borrowed rain jacket hoping that someone would show up at 5th and Cambridge. Michael Nutter's first big initiative to clean up Philly was supposed to go down as 'a good first try'. It was supposed to be miserable.

Never listen to Weather.com! It was sunny and gorgeous maxing out at just over 60. Salas Saraiya,Reed Gustow, Lisa Thompson, John + Bri Betcher, Jason Tremblay and myself joined thousands of other Philadelphians in picking up the worst Philly has to offer, including used condoms and a variety of crack baggies (don't worry, Lisa had latex gloves for us). The Indy Hall crew cleaned Girard from 5th to 2nd, down American St, and back up to 5th along George picking up millions of cigarette butts along the way (OK, that's a little bit of an exaggeration)

We picked up a lot of litter, had a bunch of fun but most importantly helped love our city.

Some Highlights
